This is a test for a video of the poem "Fern Hill" by Dylan Thomas. Three out of 6 verses are shown.

The sound is of poet Dylan Thomas himself reading the poem. The sound file and poem text were fed into the program "Mimic" which then produces a file for the Curious Lab's program "Poser," and this file animates the mouth and face of a poser "figure" to create a fairly decent lip-synched movie file. The above test was to see how good a job these programs could do on the recitation of poetry.

It's not perfect I guess, but good enough for me to go on to the next phase of the experiment in which background "scenes" will be put in to try to illustrate the poem to some degree (apple trees, a barn, a stream, etc.) using the program Bryce.
